Have stock air box fitted, only the "Y" is shimmed up about an 1/8". My
V-Boost is not modified in any way, I like the rush from 6K onwards. I may try
it full time in the future sometime.
I only Dynoed the bike once when I fitted the pipe but had not changed main
jets from stock. In that condition it made 112 RWHP. After main jet change I
was supposed to go back to re run but I haven't had a chance. I believe it
picked up one or two HP.
The biggest problem was that I never dynoed the bike in dead stock form. I can
tell you the torque spread is better than when I had the stock pipe and is
slightly more responsive at all RPM levels. What this means is in a stop light
race no stock Max would be quite as quick. I estimate an improvement of
between 1-2 bike lengths over the 1/4 mile and that's a minimum.
