The truth is rings seat very QUICK.cylinder wall finish has a small effect
on it .[ Factory finish that is ] .I am glad you noticed some cars come with

How can I tell if my rings have seated? Everyone says not to use synthetic
oil, or additives like XR-1, until your rings have seated...how do I know
when this has occurred?
I have 2000 miles, try to ride almost every day, and hit the V-boost at
least a few times a ride if that makes any difference---(I mean, I use a
wide range of RPM's every ride). Also, what happens to the rings in Porsches
and 'Vettes which come with full sythetic from the factory?
