TC,
By any chance do you know what size all those bolts are? I would
love to swap mine out to stainless. Also where is a good place to find
stainless bolts? Thanks!

Steve

Steve,
I have had mine off before and they cleaned up very nicely ... of
course the little chrome piece will completely detach. I replaced all
the bolts with 316 stainless etc ......... and so the only thing I
would warn you about is that the very long 5mm bolt holding the bottom
of the "ribbed" shield does have a non-standard thread. The 5mm
diameter bolt is 45mm long and will break very easily if not well
lubricated before removal. It also has a finer thread than is standard
for a 5mm bolt, (standard is .8mm pitch and this one is .7mm).
