Well, based on the thread and the meeting, it boils down the levels of 
organization and interest;
for events and for just a place to hang out. As for Events, are we 'big tent' 
or 'little tent'?

Agreed, starting 'small' with a garage event is a good way to measure interest, 
but something
has to take place concurrently that can further solidify organization and 
planning. A steering
committee for instance.

Well, the numbers are not set in stone, but the approximation is close. If the 
tent is big
and the group well-organized, then we could always have a "donation" jar at the 
events for
guests to help defray the costs; like the ham radio attendees or whatever group 
is dove-tailed
into a DIY event.

There are no limits to the imaginative ways a HS can raise funding to pay the 
rent; but it has
to start with a place whose location is conducive to attending events and is 
capable of 
hosting it comfortably.
