Greetings List Lurkers,

Labor Day 2024... No longer mid summer, yet still a beautiful beginning of
fall
day keeps me from doing anything with technology. Got some apple picking
in this morning - sublime!

One of the $25.00 laptops I got out of Rutland, which lit up when purchased
did not make the jump to the lab. So it moldered for about half a year,
till it basically
pissed me off, so I took it apart, fixed it's various acetate ribbon
cables, added
a new half-a-terabyte hard drive and "Viola" we have a platform for an
experiment. Formatted up with the latest LTS I have dubbed this machine
'thespian' as it is configured to quietly sit in the audience at a
performance and record the video and audio. The goal is to have several
'thespians' recording different camera angles, towards getting production
quality...

The real question is what to do for an editor. My wish is to find an
online editor so that the massive files involved do not slow the EDL (Edit
Decision list) down...

Remembering our ambitious Goals to discuss at this meeting, we need to
eventually plan a meet up at SugarTower, where we can assess and organize
the TechnoRubble that has accumulated from our strategic withdrawal from
Methodism, the week passed shows how I tried to unsuccessfully expand the
dry storage areas.

As stated previously, we want to make Incremental TechnoRubble Progress
(ITP). Hopefully a plan and report shall be forthcoming this week. Sing
out or attend the meeting in person if you are interested in this
TechnoRubble loot. The new 'thespian' laptop is a case in point.

Tonight in addition to my newly acquired JavaScript fetish, I expect to
continue my education in the SuSe version of Immutability and Associated
Containers (IAOC) that DTG has been coaching me on IAOC which is really a
cool development environment, possibly beyond the scope of Google
JavaScript,
which has a web-based IDE that works quite well.

One of my fantasies to forge in the IAOC environment is since we got
Pipewire hooked up, we may be delving into some audio evil... AudioEvil.sh
is a VisualBash script yet to be written, which strikes me as the ultimate
name for a bash script to implement and monitor acquisition of protected
audio streams (Piracy :^).

Maybe Dave can consider a brief stint of immorality to help me with
AudioEvil.sh

That said we have a meeting tonight at - 6PM.

Summer in these parts of Vermont remains frantic. I almost cannot wait for
the coming winter season, which will no doubt include ideas gleaned over
the summer as well as a concentration on developing several Maria database
instances including but not limited to a database of functions which could
be added to any VisualBash FED program.
More on that as time passes...

Serious development remains for the winter.

We shall soon answer questions like - Can I use Chat GPT to generate
VisualBash scripts?

...so more about these foolish ideas is available this Monday evening at 6
PM at the York Library in beautiful East Barre Vermont. Thus we are
centralizing and convocating at the York Branch Library this evening. That
said, come in person or remotely and bring this and any other problems and
questions and we shall do our thing!

This evening beyond the Library face-2-face & gizmo-2-gizmo, we shall use
