Dear Archana

I am sorry, your email sounds too philosophical and I dont agree.
Just like a few bad terrorists do not make an entire race bad, similarly a few
good people who get someone a job does not make them saints.Pakistan is a rogue
country and for years they have invested heavily in militancy and anti-india
activities. Successive Governments could not have done this without most of the
population in favor of it.

Dawood masterminded the killing of innocents in Mar 1993 and has been killing
innocents before that and even after that. Why should the Indian Govt not blame
Pakistan and Dawood ?? That cold blooded killer is an honorable citizen of
Pakistan and what do you think Dawood is doing sitting in Karachi ? He is
planning all the time to cause us Damage. Whilst I agree that people who plant
it should be brought to justice and should be stopped before they do it, I am
bothered, really bothered, about the people holding the remote control as the
pawns they use to plant the bombs are many and it is not hard for them to find
one. PoK is where all the terrorist training camps are located and you think
all this was setup inspite of the Pakistani's loving us ?

Pakistanis settled abroad speak secularly (or at least try to be), but they are
not our friends. In saying this, I am talking of the bulk of pakistani
population.

I think we should start bombing selective targets in PoK. If the Government
claims they know where the training camps are we have the weaponery to hit
them, what is stopping them ?

remember not to buy into politics of hatred
Dear Nayan,
We have to realise here as educated people that we should not buy into politics
of hatred. The Hindu and Muslim hatred particularly.

I have many Pakistani friends here and to be frank they were solid support to
me when i was living in Sheffield and in London. They treated me with respect,
care and so much love. They are deeply saddened by what they hear...esp when
Lahore is named. These are the people who lost a powerful woman leader who was
killed by the very same people who have attacked our soil. These are the people
who have have been attacked by terrorists in Marriott hotel in Islamabad right
when they were about to break their fast (Iftaari) during Ramzaan. I couldn't
agree with Pak PM that the terrorists are equally their enemy.

I hate it when our govts coolly blame Pakistan and Dawood. Because that will
give them the excuse that it was not in their control. The people who planted
1993 bombs were Indians, dawood didn't come here to plant it. So stop blaming
people who are not here. I am not bothered who is holiding the remote
control...what matters who is implementing the blast.

I am writing this is because a friend of mine, his son is studying in London.
Extremely rich man, religious Muslim. The son was desperate to find a job
(shaukiya, doesn't need it) so I put him onto to a Pak friend who arranged a
job at an elite Central London garment/suits shop, owned by a young chap with
Iran/Pak origin. They were all very happy then.

Now my friend called his son and said, no need to go to work at that Pak man's
shop. He is extremely angry as he lives opposite Radio club, five minutes from
Taj hotel. When i called him I could hear the blast and he could see the
burning Taj from his window. He has a huge showroom close to Leopold and his
staff saw the terrorists running towards Taj. He lost friends in the attack.
Their bakery wala died, a curious couple on the fourth floor died and he knew
them. He had just taken a staff meeting to augment/promote Christmas shopping
as many foreigners buy from there. And since the attack,,the shop is closed.

In a way, he is affected from all side. Colaba market (Nariman house) is behind
his lane, Taj saamne, Causeway close to his place. But to generalise on his
part and painting all Pakistanis with the same brush is as bad as Hindus
calling those terrorists Muslims and nothing else.

I can write so much but long mails can unnerve people and putting off.

Arch
