If this method is officially supported by VASSAL, I would like place another
feature request that has relation with it.

The problem, and the reason why I abandoned this method previously is:
1. This method works only if "Marker" trait is defined directly in each game 
piece.
If "Marker" is defined in "Prototype", $something$ in "Text" of "Text Label" 
trait
is shoed as "something".
2. If "Property Name" of "Text Label" is blank, $something$ in "Text" of "Text 
Label" trait causes StackOverflowError.

It is nice if VASSAL allows "Marker" in Prototype, and StackOverflowError is 
fixed.
