If I had to guess, I'd say that it's the large number of menu items.
There aren't that many apps which have hundreds of items packed into
a hierarchical context menu. It takes a while to find what you want
if you don't know what there is and what it's called. People have the
same complaint about the GIMP, which has an interface similar to
Photoshop's. This sort of interface is designed to be efficient for
experts to use---which is the way to go for a piece of software where
the intended audience will use it enough to become experts.
