The Intel ATOM series simply never had a VT-x implementation, so there's no surprise, VBox is stating that fact. For a description of VT-x, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vt-x#Intel_virtualization_.28VT-x.29 Atom N2600: http://ark.intel.com/products/58916/ whereas the Q8300 does have VT-x support (they state "see ordering info"): http://ark.intel.com/products/39107/ So, you do start from a system, where you used the VT-x stuff, which in Virtualization speak means, you use a para-virtualized Guest. You try to place that onto a box, that doesn't have virtualization support in the CPU, and therefore you would need a fully-virtualized environment. This sadly simply doesn't work. So, sadly, I now do not know, what to do. You could try and change the config on your start system and disable VT-x there, and hope, that on reboot on that system it does reconfigure itself without the VT-x support in the guest. But that depends on the specific guest OS... Sorry, I don't have a better answer, perhaps someone else on this alias can help?
