Most of the same things.  Not swap.  And not limiting the size of logical 
volumes, if you happen to want that.  But obviously, also not supporting other 
filesystems.  For now, I don't consider btrfs stable enough for production, for 
example, so I still use LVM with ext4 on it.

Besides stability, there are other characteristics of other filesystems that 
are sometimes desirable.  Google for XFS on AWS and see what it says.  

But I agree, mostly, BTRFS'll be great.  Someday.
