The above showed up in my inbox after I sent my first reply, so
disregard that. The simplest way to mount the guest additions iso
inside the guest is to press hostkey+d. On my windows 7 home premium
host, the guest additions iso is at:

C:\Program Files\Oracle\VirtualBox\VBoxGuestAdditions.iso
