Jeff, I just rechecked my VBox settings and they are as follows: USB 2.0 = On Serial COM3 (XP assigned Com3 so I set that in VBox) Port Mode = Host Device Port/file path = /dev/cu.serial For the port/file path I looked in the /dev directory and found the info. The options were cu.serial or tty.serial. Some people have to use tty.serial, only cu.serial works for me. You don't mention setting Port/file path so that may be the issue or maybe not. Sorry I don't know how this affects Win7.
