The extension pack is meant to be installed in the VirtualBox
host installation. It can and should not be executed or mounted
in a guest.

VBox host GUI (not the VM window),
menu: File / Preferences / Extensions

The only thing you can install in the guest is "VirtualBox Guest
Additions".
