Select failsafe login the run svcadm disable -t gdm You have your cli login to run the X config tools in a MUCH safer way that the very fragile system that dtlogin uses to get you a login prompt. When you are done playing with kdmconfig or Xorg config tools run svcadm enable gdm and logout. -- Darren J Moffat
