Dan, I moderate for Fly Fishing World with 558 members. I approve about 4-5 new members a week. It really isn't that big a deal. I'm the only moderator for the list. Chris Cook is list owner and lives in the UK. He approves during the hours we're asleep here in the US and I approve during the hours he's asleep in UK, but the way it works out, I approve most of them. The biggest problem I have is people who join and then try to promote a product. I've booted one guy 6 times. He'll come back with a new email addy and name, but I usually catch him after the first post or two. Also, list members keep me informed in case I miss a commercializer.
