Bob,
I have a friend that tells me he now ties them with Danville "Big Fly" thread.
Another tells me that Orvis now has the thread that is equivalent to The
Gudebrod "G" thread. I have not checked them out yet. I am getting close to
using the last of my G" thread so I will have to do something in the near
future. I bought some Veevus Stomach thread at the Sowbug but have not tried to
weave with it yet.
There was someone, I forgot his name who bought all the tying thread when
Gudebrod closed, he has passed away and I do not have a contact anymore.
Tony

Subject: [VFB] Substitute for Gudebrod "G" Thread?

Hi Tony,

I'd like to try to learn to weave a Mayfly body (extended)  Your CD is great
for this, but I can't find the Gudebrod thread that yoou use.  Are you (or
anyone else) aware of a suitable substitued?  Colors?

I watched several YouTube videos that used everything from antron yarn to
embrodery thread.  My goal is to mimic the tight, small body you made; I'm
afraid that antron might be too heavy?  Thoughts?

Thanks!
