Chuck, Clots in the lungs can be very painful and the pain can last for a few days. Even though she is being treated, the clots are still there, they just don't go away overnite. The coumadin just prevents more clots to form, it is up to the body's own defenseses to get rid of the clot. And that can take quite some time. So it is a long process to recover from...
