Great topic. I have a pair of leaky goretex that I returned to the
company. They sent them back saying the leak test showed no leaks.
Ridiculous, as if I was going to spend the money to send them back if
they didn't leak!!! Now I have to find the leak and send them back
again. Rather than fill them with water (heavy and potentially damaging
or at least messy), I was thinking of using the tire repair method of
brushing on a soap solution in the suspected area and then using Steve's
balloon technique to find the pinprick "hole". Anyone tried this? And
would rubbing the area with alcohol increase the chances of success?
