David, I'm sure you're right about the water route. I just did a pair of
bootfoot neoprenes that way but I'm a little more cautious with
stocking-foot Goretex. My other choice was to go to the river and stand
in the water till they leaked and then take a photo of my "wet spot" to
convince the company. Trouble is the mild spell around here has
evaporated and standing in the river when the windchill is -10C isn't a
pleasant thought. I'll try the alcohol route first. Cheers,
