Murf,  I don't think I've ever seen a secluded (read uncrowded) spot within 2 miles of the Manchester hole. That's why I always fish much farther upstream. True story told to me by the Erie WCO who posts on fisherie.com: He was sitting back in a secluded spot upstream from the Manchester hole one Wednesday and spotted a fellow from Ohio netting steelhead and putting them in his cooler.  He was arrested and detained until he paid his fine.  The local soup kitchen got the fish.
