They do that here in California too...Couple of Guys had everything taken away, and the two idiots bitched & complained about the hardships they were being put thru. Judge told them rather bluntly "should thought about having a $28 License & knowing the Limit, alot less expensive!!". My kinda Judge!!!

Here in Michigan they do take your car ect if you are caught poaching. I worked with a guy who kept a Lake Trout out of season.
