I think we need to all watch what is happening in each individual body of water and act accordingly.

This is the biggest problem with the whole concept of catch and release!  It's been my biggest bitch all along!  There are certain waters where it's fine to "take a limit..."  BUT there are many where it isn't, and those that think it's their God given right to go anywhere and take all they want, and then wonder why the fishing isn't as good as it used to be, are just plain WRONG, and I don't give a damn about their "rights!"  They also have a God given responsibility to THINK, and some of them aren't capable of doing that...  With as many people fishing today as there are, and this is a good thing, SELECTIVE MANAGEMENT is the key to preserving the resource!  You simply cannot allow folks to go into a place where there's a naturally reproducing population of fish, kill as many as you can, and expect o have that quality of fishing for very long!  A place where fish are stocked, or are more prolific(usually the case in warmwater fisheries, especially where panfish are involved) that's a different story, and as someone has mentioned in another post, we don't want to waste the resource by not properly harvesting.  But only when the situation will allow this without causing the resource to be exhausted.  I enjoy fresh fish just as much as anybody, but the South Platte in the Cheesman canyon is not the place to get it, and that's just one example.
Those that have commented who are involved with teaching the Boy Scouts, certainly sound like thay have their priorities straight, and are doing a fine job!  These young people need to be taught right, and it sounds like you're doing it!  Thanks!
