You're right, the one in the photo doesn't favor an Elkhair Caddis at all. That's the first one I tied. In later versions I did not use cream cock, but used one continuous bunch of deer hair for the wing,(which was short and bunched forward like an Elkhair Caddis), shellback and tail. Thanks for calling this to my attention. I tho't I'd already sent photo and updated tying instructions to Matt, but evidently had not. I will take care of it as soon as I can take some more photos and re-write the tying instructions, etc.
