. How about it, do any of you have LaFontaine flies that are part of
your "must have" collection?
I Love using PLAIN JANEs in Black, Olive, Brown & sometimes Grey... A subtle, somber streamer Pattern which has become "must always have" for me over the past 3 seasons. I mostly fish them in Rivers, but am thinkin' of using them on a Fullsink line in Lake Crowley this coming season.
I also use DOUBLE WINGS in Royal,Green, grey, orange & Yellow versions. Gary's HEATHER pattern is always effective under the situations it was designed for...thought sometimes I just rebel & use it in very bright sunny weather!!!!. The SPARKLE EMERGANT CADDIS in Apple Green,Olive & Tan is always a favorite...try fishing one as a dropper beneath a Double Wing & see which one gets nailed first!!!
I also fish with the DEEP SPARKLE CADDIS, FREE LIVING CADDIS & the NATURAL DRIFT STONEFLY (You can't snag bottom much with this one!!).... I'm wanting to try the BH MARABOU WORM...read too many greats things about that fly. I would probally fish everyone of Gary's patterns as I KNOW they'll always work....Hope this Helps!!!!
