  Might I strongly suggest you buy yourself a copy of Gary's "TROUT FLIES-Proven Patterns". It is, without a doubt, a Must have addition to your Flyfishing Library. You can check out Gary's Book Mail order company, GREYCLIFF PUBLISHING, for the book.

 They also sell most the "hard to come by" materials & hooks you'll need to tye Gary's patterns properly. If your limiting yourself on which books you buy for your Flyfishing/Tying library, this is really a MUST HAVE book....

I've always been partial to Gary's Halo Emerger. Works very well on the
local reservoir tied on #18s with emu fibers for a shuck and "western
olive" dubbed body. Can't help but think it reminds me of Quigley's
Crippled Calibeatis - or is it that the HE reminds me of QCC? Great fly.
