Wow Jimi, When I saw this question come up, I was sure some of the purists on the list were going to come unhinged. Then I saw all the replies, and I couldn't agree with them more. I spend the majority of my time in the lakes in my float tube paddling backwards. The only complaint I've heard is when someone corrected me and told me it was not trolling, it was "mooching"
Either way, it catches fish, it's fun, it doesn't harm the fish any more than traditional fly fishing, and there is not a darn thing wrong with it. If anyone tells you there is, I suggest you poke them in the eye with your rod (aka fishin' pole).
