I fished a 5wt extensively in Pensacola, a 4 pc Loomis teamed with a Battenkill (my Wyoming trout rod).  Handled all the smaller inshore species well: redfish, specs, bluefish, amberjack, green jacks, ladyfish, Spanish macks, and a whopper stingray.  I wouldn't want to do too many bonito- I just don't think it would hold up long.  Caught a few in the 4 pound range on an 8wt with a Lamson, and it was all it could handle.  The blues and the jacks are a blast.

OHHHHHHHHHHH. Think a 5wt with a good drag would suffice?
