John... A blue smolt -- which is tied with a mallard breast feather flatwing style -- is an awesome fry imitaitonf or catching salmon, dollies and rainbows.
One of my go to flies. There are also a couple other variations tied flat wing style. I suspect it may be good for steelhead as well.
