Welcome to the list. As Jimi said, nobody on this list
is snooty or anything like that. This is probably the
most helpful and diverse special interest site on the
web.
Flyfishing is pretty much like any other sport, it's
as spendy as you want to make it. I've got several
friends who spend as much or more on their spincasting
rigs as any flyfishing setup. Just depends on how much
you want to spend on your toys.
It's all just fishing and having fun.
