A good friend mounts his using a small piece of copper wire attached to the
middle of the fly shank..then he ties the fly. He then runs the copper wire
through the tube from a Q stick which is about 1/4-1/2 inch long, runs the
copper wire out the back through the backing board and then spreads the
copper wire so it holds the tube firmly at a 90 degree angle to the backing
board. Puts a drop of glue on the end of the tube as he pulls it to the
backing board. I've moved these pictures thus mounted many times, they've
fallen on the floor, and the flies remain intact and the feathers away from
the backing board..makes the best display I've ever seen. Joyce
