For those that have used Mustads... Did you get any hooks in your package with the eyes not completely closed?
I used to buy Mustads -- but I went through a stretch of time about 2 years ago when I found a lot of the Mustads didn't have the eyes closed tight -- -- since then I try to buy other hooks when I can -- I was disappointed in the quality of Mustads. For those with the same disability, I put together this "scale" of Mustad hook styles and sizes. It is applicable for trout flies, and stays with Viking bends (round, forged) and the cheaper styles.
