Funny you should mention this. I've got a batch of
Mustads I got way cheap on eBay. The majority of them
have the same problem you describe, only about one out
of four has the eye properly closed. What I usually do
is make an over size head right up against the eye and
glue the heck out of it. Looks like hell, but it
closes that gap.
