Hi Del,
    I have a 12" X 12" X 5" wooden box, ( was some kind of Instrument box at
one time), that I carry with us. It has only one divider in it in the back.
I put vise, bobbins, thread, scissors,, and other tools in the small
partition in the back. The lid is about 3/4" deep so I pit long stuff there,
( turkey feathers peacock, hackles and so on) and hold them with some little
elastic straps. In the main body of the box I put my hook boxes, fur,
baggies of feathers and dubbing plus an assortment of what not materials.
Make sure you have materials for favorite and productive flies as well
as "create as you go" flies.
It fits nicely just about anywhere and keeps everything ready. It will
also fit into a pack for the long walk in if need be.
Hope this helps.
Jimi

I am wanting to set up a stream side tying kit to take with me. Any
suggestions on what to pack? I fish the NC/SC mountains and ponds and lakes
in the area. I dry / nymph / wet / terrestrial fish. I fish for brim
('gills)
and trout.
Any suggestions on how to go about this would be appreciated.
                                        Regards,
                                                 Del
