sounds neat.

'New' idea? Just a thought...

Let's make up the "VFBer's Guide to Practical and Enjoyable Fly-tying and
Fly-fishing",
a compilation of posts by vfb'ers sharing knowledge and tips, with credits
to the poster.

Maybe Byard could do a page on the vfb site to handle it. Later he can
write a book and retire wealthy.

Maybe have a 'tip-of-the-month' award? Originality would be a key
consideration for a tip. And points could be given for effort expended to
research a topic for the edification of all. That way, everyone has a shot,
even novices.

If the tip involves Whiting feathers, I can get an 'award' pelt from Tom.
Best tip of the year- I'd donate a Fantasy Fly 14/0. Maybe Byard would kick
something else in, too. Or we could all donate a fly to a "Kit' for the
winner. Byard could be the judge with a secret panel.

This could be fun. Most mags have their 'tips' sections.

Any ideas?

Just a thought,
DonO
