If you would like a first hand account of  what it was like growing up on a small farm in the late 30s early 40s contact me off list.

Gary;  Mom picked cotton on the GA farm (food was good but clothing was sackcloth) and I know the story.  Dad spent his time getting shot out of a B-17 Flying Fortress on his 13th mission as a top gunner and 18 months as a guest to Adolph Hitler.  My life has been easy compared to theirs.  Here we are on a fly tying list considering whether to use a particular thread, hackle or hook.  We discuss regulations and patterns.  I'm sure your story is interesting.  Can you mix some fishing in it so we can all read?
