DON,

No way i could hate your Oppinion....i was actually hoping you'd chime in... I'm open minded about everyone's views... I'd never fish something like this for Trout... too much Tradition envolved in Flyfishing for trout...but, personally, I have a very open mind when it comes to Saltwater patterns...within reason...

Your Oppinion is valued a great deal...You The MAN!!!!!... by the by, I'll have afew of these waiting for you, when you come out here this coming Summer to spend sometime in the So Cal Surf with me....

Of course, I'll have some more "Triditional" surf patterns for you to use as well...

I my humble oppinion, those are not flies, no more than a Mister Champ with a bucktail skirt is.

A lot of lures have incorporated fly materials, and remained lures.  A lot of flies have contained lure materials, and remained flies.  I think these are on the former side.

Again, IMHO, don't hate me pplease.

Subject: [VFB] Your Oppinion...is this a Fly????

Hey Folks,

I blew off going for some Surf action this morning....Santa Ana winds make casting a 200 grain "+" a painful situation...not to mention getting "Brained" by one of those wieghted flies ain't my idea of fun....

Anyhow, I thought i'd get folks' oppinion on the Following fly.

Please give this a look over & let us know if you consider this a fly or not. I actually consider this a fly...for the Southern California Surf zone anyhow.. seeing as we use a Ton of synthetic materials for alot of Ocean flies out there.. this is just a different way of applying them. I have begun tying up a number of these for my Surf fly box...

  Looking forward to everyone's oppinion....
