Dear Dr Doug
This should help clear things up a bit...

This is how they do it up north here.    :0)

Okay, I popped off too quickly.
If you fish in sigle digit weather, how in the world do you keep your guides free of ice?

AAAAHH!  Finally, somebody has gotten the right answer!  Come up north of the mason-dixie, and we'll take you steelheading in single-digit temps in the middle of a snowstorm and show you how it's done!

Living would be easier if men showed as much patience at
home as they do when they're fishing.

I take back all the thoughts I had about you folks north of the Mason-Dixon line who don't fish in sub-freezing weather.  You aren't weaker. . .just a whole lot smarter!
Doug
