The last ones I bought were out of the local flyshop, but I've also bought them from Cabellas before. You COULD make your own, but for all the trouble I think the price I paid was around 3.50 for 50 of them.

Are they specifically for flies? Could you make your own? Larry J >>> [EMAIL PROTECTED] 03/24/03 12:59PM >>> I've seen a few mentions today and quite a few in the past regarding flys the incorporate a spinner blade or prop. Lets here from those of you who tye them and maybe even divulge your favorite prop fly pattern. I'll start it off! Purple Cessna Hook: Any straight eye 2x long hook #8-12 Prop(blade): Size 0 or 00 gold blade Brass bead: 3/32 Tail: Purple marabou with a few strands of crystal flash Body: Purple cactus chenille Hackle: Purple (or black) saddle hackle Palmered up the body then twice around the collar. This was a great producer a couple of years back for half pounders on the Klamath River in size #8. Anyone else??? Dave Wilson http://www.wilsonsworld.org
