many thanks for your offer and the information, I know I keep saying it to people, but I do appreciate the advice and generosity of the list members.
I have spoken to a fair few people and worked out various routes. My plan would be to fly in to Florida, travel East to California, go up one state, then travel back across the country to the East coast, head on right up to the North East tip of the US, then head across to the North West.
I will put ya on my list and let you know when I know more info.

Chris, all 5 of those states Deb mentioned DO get HOT! But only one has any real humidity, Florida. Texas may have some down in the south. Calif., Arizona, and New Mexico are very dry. I grew up there so.........sorry Deb. Main reason i replied though, was to give you my phone number.
