Ah, but Deb, The way I understand Chris's plan, his goal is to to see all of the United States of America, fishing as he goes. If that is the case, he IS going to a lot of driving and see 'highlights', not in-depth. And he will be getting a taste of fishing in many places, not doing an in-depth Ph.D. level study of one small area. I look at his plans as an extended version of the ever-popular American vacation trip: "One-week coach trip to England, France, and all the rest of Europe". That's where people take their travel guidebooks along and look up Salzburg and mark "Been There" as they pass through at 100 kph. Chris will get a much better feel for the U.S. than that. He's talking six MONTHS fer gosh sakes. Allan
