I've had very few hooks break..when they do, the go in the sharps box. never
thought of using them for casting practice, which is a good idea. If a fly
gets really mangled, I must admit, that it is usually cheaper (if you figure
your time worth anything) to simply toss it in the sharps box and don't look
back. I always suspect the integrity of a hook that has had 28 or so fish
take it and mangle it. Some are kept in the bottom of the flybox and used
when nothing else works, and incredibly, they often do. Others that are
really just bare hooks do get recycled. Joyce
