As I understand it .... and I'm sure Don O will add to this.... There will be no difference in the quality of the Whiting feathers from your Bronze pelt to a Gold pelt. The difference is in the quantity of the feathers on the pelt. You can tie more flies with a Gold grade pelt because the feather count is higher. The feather quality will always be of the highest standards from a Whiting pelt. So if you want a variety of colors and are on a limited budget dig through the bronze grades and you will get some great buys and the same quality!!!

A Whiting pelt...and this time I can look at it in 3-D. Of course I had to make some priorities this time too, so I didn't stretch further than bronze...but it sure looked good enough to me.

While your analysis is correct in regards to Whiting Rooster Saddles, it isn't quite true of their Rooster Capes. While all grades of Whiting Capes will exceed the quality of most other brands on the market, feather quality will definitely increase as the grade goes up.
