I gave away all my Metz, so I can't help you there.
But I do know the ALL breeders have improved vastly in quality.

OK DonO, Byard, Joyce...and the rest of the elite

Now I've tied a few with this new neck...niiiice with some quality in the
hackle pliers again. As I said before, a few years have passed since I had
it before. The feeling of it quickly came back though...but I have to ask
something.
Are the stems on these Whiting feathers thinner than the ones from the Metz
necks, or have the Metz ones improved this much too...or is it just me
sitting comparing with the indian ones again???

Don,
What time of year is the selection of capes at its best? Are visitors
welcome at the farm? Bill

Nick,
When I visit the farm, I always make a point to go through ALL the bins,
Platinum, gold, silver, and bronze. I find excellent underrated, thus less
expensive, pelts in the low bins that were derated because of some non-tying
flaw. My best SCB's (Speckled Champagne Badgers- or 'flecked') are silver
and bronze grades, because of feather count.
