Nick, welcome back to the wonderful world of tying. 've tied with bronze and "commercial" grades for years and they turn out some mighty fine flies..I don't think that the trout run up to a fly, check it out and say, "my oh my, I can't eat that one, it's done with a bronze grade."  It is interesting to me, that many of the top of the line Whiting necks from previous years are less desirable than the current ones, which just goes to show you how much progress in breeding that Dr. Tom has made. Interestingly, the same can be said for Metz necks..check out their current "micro-barb" as compared with the older grade A necks. What a great thing to live and tie today. Don't you just love it? Counting my blessings. Joyce
