What
kind of water will you be fishing in? The way I (myself!!) see it is: A softer
rod for nicer and more precise presentations in STREAMS... and a little
stiffer for longer casting in LAKES.

mne: [VFB] What rod to use????
I am going trout fishing with my soon to be brother-in-law Sunday. He is paying for everything, including lunch and dinner. His only request was that I carry only my fly fishing gear (DUH) and only bring one rod.
Now, I have two rods that I use for trout, one for dries and one for nymphs and streamers. The difference between them is that the dry rod is more flexible than the nymph/streamer, which is stiffer. I will be fishing dries, nymphs, streamers, and terrestrials.
Which rod should I take??????
