I think Don's idea is awesome. I carry a normally carry a 9 foot 5 weight, one spool a with WF floating line, and a teeny 200 on the other one for stripping streamers and deep nymphing on the other spool. Dries, shallow wets and nymphs, with the floating line. I can always find a fish with this setup.

Del,MY advice, and I'm no expert, if you can only take one rod, bring a dry fly rod and reel for it with two spools, one set up for dry fly fishing and one for wet fly fishing, like with a sink-tip. If you don't have a 2-spooler, bring only the dry set-up. You can always fish nymphs with shot and a strike indicator on your dry fly rig. Just stay light in the terminal tackle if you go to wets, and try to pitch-roll cast rather than false cast.DonO----- Original Message -----From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
