I tried Wax on the very first fly I ever attempted. I've never used it again
and have found no great need in "my" tying to start. I use the "rope
dubbing" method on most of my flies and have no problems with dubbing not
staying on, infact the dubbing usually lasts longer then most of the rest of
the fly.
