Well, I'm still tossing things and scraping muck from my basement. I had a
flash flood tear up my driveway, deposit tons of gravel on my lawn and fill
my basement up to two feet deep with water and muck.

I lost about 1/3 of my hoard of fly tying materials and unfortunately some
swap flies from many of you as well.

I am NOT looking to replace my losses at this time. My losses are small
compared to the loss of life of some and the complete loss of homes by some
nearby. On a nearby streatch of I 88 two truck drivers driving in opposite
directions died after a culvert was washed out on the interstate leaving a
gaping open chasm that they drove into.

Major river flooding is just now subsiding.

Diesel and toxic chemicals are being washed into the Susquehanna from flooded
industry and municipal facilities. Pics available online from news sources.
The city of Oneonta is releasing 2 million gallons of raw sewage per day into
the Susquehanna River because their treatment plant is completely inundated
by the flood. Sidney NY, Bainbridge, Binghamton, Johnson City, Endicott are
also realeasing untold millions of gallons of raw sewage.

It is quite devasting for people and the aquatic life we enjoy pursuing.

I wish for the best for others affected by this flooding.
