Unbelievable how these things work.  We were really bracing for it and after
it hit New York it the heaviest part of the rain moved out a little and hit
the islands instead.  We got some really heavy rain but not the flooding we
got earlier this year.  I don't think we could take another heavy blow that
soon. Some places are still drying up.  I skipped my last trip to the cape
to meet Byard and Howard though.  I wasn't going to take the chance driving
there.  From what I hear it rained enough to put a damper on the Hex hatch
here.  The rivers are running too high.  I would like to get out and
experience that but I haven't had the opportunity yet.

I have a brother in Oneonta , have not been able to
reach him.
I planned on being in Rosco and Livingston Manor at
the Catskill FF Museum in September for the Bamboo Rod
Gathering if they don't cancel it.
I was told those towns were hit hard
