When I first arrived on scene here, I thought it was a little clickish at
first but after about a half day and a couple sessions in the chat room I
felt right at home. It may seem a little clickish to some but, I think when
one brings his cards and his/her discussion to the table the clickish part
goes right away. On a brighter note..... I have been fishing some local
ponds for bass with the Davy Wotton Shad and man has it produced for me. I
was fishing Sunday afternoon and found some bass schooling up against a pond
dam. First cast with the Wotton Shad on the 6 weight and WHAM... caught my
biggest bass to date on a fly rod. Right at the 7 lb mark. I ended up
hooking and losing 3 more of that caliber but to no avail could not get them
to bank. The only reason I got the first one in is because it hit the shad
fly right by the bank and I was able to keep him out of the lilly pads. Bass
are schooling here in ARkansas prior to this cool snap. Going to hit the
Little Red on Sunday will post report Monday at work.

With all due respect to all involved, I found the the
youmg Barnett boy to be a self promoting poseuar. He
called himself a professional tyer at age 15 and when
I hosted an emerger swap, he entered a fly that was a
size 6 5x long shank hook wrapped with nothing but
peacock herl. He was a rich kid living a fantasy with
us at that time. I'm sure he has gine on to better
things, but he was mostly full of crap. As a test of
his knowledge, I offered up a supply of imported
jurango fur for him to tie with. Very exotic and
highly prized, smuggled in by a buddy of mine that
travels abroad for his job. Instantly, he could not
live with the albino jurango nor the rare black
jurango. He says, that is so hard to get, I can't
believe you have a source. That was the poker tell. As
you know, there is no jurango. The beasts go by the
names of Boomer and Chipper and had a recent grooming.
I'm a fella that has to call bullcrap when he has to.
Kid is not going to learn to shoot straight if people
feed his BS. I'm not sure he ever knew the difference.
But I wouldn't know as he is a professional fly tyer.
